West Bengal Student Credit Card
For students who want to pursue higher studies but are not financially efficient, for their help CM of Bengal state has launched a Student Credit Card. SCC
With the help of a Student credit card loan of Rs, 10 Lakh with the interest of 4% can be taken for higher studies. Student Credit card is financial assistance for WB State students.
The application can be done online for a student credit card. The student can use this credit card for studies in India and abroad.

Eligibility for Bengal Student Credit card
- Bengal Student Credit Scheme eligibility is as under
- Student Should be residing in Bengal for more than 10 years
- Students should have passed Class IX from a recognized university
- The applying student is also to be enrolled in Class X or for 10+2 or higher education in any course in any recognized Higher Education Institution or in a coaching institute for appearing in the entrance examination for admission in medical/engineering/law courses or for competitive examinations like UPSC/ PSC/SSC etc. for availing loan under SCC scheme.
- Students should be less than 40 years of age at the time of applying for the loan.
- The Student Credit Card Scheme “aims at providing financial support/assistance by the State Government at a nominal interest rate (with suitable guarantees to the bank) to the students residing in West Bengal for at least 10 years and pursuing education from class 10 onwards, or studying in various coaching institutes for appearing in different competitive examinations like Engineering/ Medical/ Law, IAS, IPS, WBCS, SSC, etc., UPSC, PSC, SSC, etc.”
- The scheme can also be availed by students pursuing UG, PG courses including professional degrees, Diploma courses, and research at doctoral/ post-doctoral level or other similar courses. The scheme covers schools, madrasas, colleges, universities, and other institutes like IIMs, IITs, AIIMSs, NITs, XLRI, BITS, SPA, IIESTs ISIs, NLUs, NID, IISc, IIFTs, ICFAI, and others.

- Now Click on Student Registration Link
- West Bengal Student Credit card Application Form will open
- Fill this form properly
- Name, DOB, gender
- Course Details
- Contact Details
- Now Create Password and Submit
- After submission, you will get a Unique ID
- This Unique ID will be used for all future process

- To login to the applicant dashboard
- Enter Registration No, Password, and login
- Now Student details will display in Dashboard
- Here enter the pending details and apply for Student Credit Card
- Now after verifying all details click on submit
