Students of Jharkhand will no longer be deprived of higher education due to a lack of money. Jharkhand Student Credit Card Scheme will start for them. It will be announced in the Jharkhand budget to be presented on March 3. This proposal has been prepared by the Department of Higher and Technical Education. The limit of this card will be Rs 10 lakh, which can be withdrawn in two or three installments. With this money, students will be able to buy books and laptops, etc., as well as pay college-coaching fees and hostel fees.
Only students who have done matriculation and inter from Jharkhand will get the benefit. The biggest condition for this is that the student who is taking the benefit should be a native of Jharkhand. The family income should be less than Rs 5 lakh and should not file an income tax return. After the launch of this scheme, the identified bank will issue student credit cards in the name of the students. No guarantor will be required for this and students will have to return this amount in 10 years. About 30 lakh families of the state will benefit from this scheme.

To apply for the student credit card following terms need to be fulfilled:
- The annual income of the family should be less than Rs 5 lakh.
- The family does not file income tax returns.
- The benefiting student should be a native of Jharkhand.
- Must have passed Matriculation-Inter examination from Jharkhand itself.

The interest rate of the Jharkhand Student credit Card is not decided yet. The Government may tie up with banks to provide interest-free loans to the students.
